Old Shogun Kaze time trial bike for sale. In the 80's the most aerodynamic position was thought to be the lowest possible sitting position, hence the dramatically smaller 24 inch front wheel. These were also known as "funny bikes". I've upgraded much of the drivetrain (now 8 speeds) so this is a thoroughly modern bike.

This is a truly unique bike, don't miss out!

The Shimano 105 group is all original. The bike does not come with pedals.

Here's a description of the parts:
Double butted Tange Infinity chromoly 53cm frame (built in Japan)
    Tange chromoly fork
    Tange Levin headset
Araya 24 inch front rim with Shimano 105 hub
Araya 700C rear rim with Shimano Tiagra Hyperglide-C compatible freehub
IRC Triathlon clincher tires, 24x1 in front, 700Cx20 in rear

    Shimano 105 front derailleur
Shimano Ultegra long cage rear derailleur
Shimano Ultegra 8 speedindexed bar end shifters
Shimano 105 brake levers and side pull calipers
Shimano 105 square taper 175mm crankset with 53/39T chainrings
Shimano Hyperglide 8 speed cassette 12-30
    SRAM PC850 8 speed chain

    Nitto bull horn bars
Origin8 Propulsion aero bars, the pads are new and the bars are more adjustable than Profiles

I wouldn't buy that frame, even if it were my size for that or whatever it gets bid up to. You're going to be in to it for at least 6 bills if you have to buy parts and it's still going to be a moderate conversion at best.I have nicer cars at home!
  5.
Watch Craigslist and you can get that bike or one of similar quality complete for about the price that frame and fork are going for. I have done it many a time.

Usually if you are doing a conversion part of the reason is to keep it within a reasonable budget. In order to do that, it is almost always better to buy a complete bike with parts you know are compatible to the bike and to each other. Often you can complete the conversion keeping the majority of the original parts intact. It's a big money saver and less of a headache.

i'm looking for a decent frame to convert, so the above info is much appreciated. i decided to pass on this frame. don't want to be droppin too much green on this project. i think finding a complete is the route im gonna have to take. i'm ridin' on aluminum right now which is great, but i've wanted a steel frame for a while now. thanks for the comments!i like fixed speed

^^^^^good grass polo bike, wouldn't want to hit any trails that are very rocky with it. Pretty good deal though. Wonder how heavy it is? 42/16 would be pretty tall on anything other than pretty flat easy trails.

Edit: I looked up the specs and better pictures...a hybrid on steroids, jack of all trades, master of none. Not really a mtn bike but gives the appearance it is, not a street bike but is billed as such. Good entry level, ride around campus bike without the maintenance and if you spend a grand, internally geared rear hub.I have nicer cars at home!

Ok so I contacted this seller yesterday for more info on this bike. The seller refuses to share pictures or any info on this bike which leads me to believe it's stolen. I have asked to meet up and check it out and the seller is giving me the run-around!!! This listing seems super fishy or am I wrong. I have had 2 of my bikes stolen and I know how it feels..does it barspin??
