i did the avondale crit last year and the course was pretty cool. I wanted to do the mcdowell race because its more my style but it rained last year and i'm like a cat! haha. Since you like the crits steve, i'd suggest avondale. Mcdowell is more of a circuit race with a baby power climb each lap about the size of curry challenge.

Yeah I registered the other morning through bike reg and was half asleep when I did it and I missed registering for the 4/5 but I registered for the Sr Cat 5. If I go in there now and additionally register for the 4/5 will it still only charge me $10?"I've never been able to get so low in a sprint that I was able to s my d" - Scott Piersafielde

I suppose if it counts as two mass starts I will. I just have no idea how I will feel after the 5 race, and assuming the 4/5 is going to be faster with the cheetah's up front, I figured I would play it by ear, since it sounds like they are going to be open the day of.

Cheetah, shmeetah...there's always going to be somebody faster and stronger...those are the people you want to be riding with, racing against!

Yes, you get 2 mass starts if you do both races.

Besides, you have a couple hours and lunch to recover prior to the 4/5 race.

Keith, whatever you want to do, how long do you think it'll take you to move? Got a lot of sheit?I have nicer cars at home!

^ a) I think it's only about an hour between the two races, with the fast race (4/5) coming second
    b) The cheetah boys are going to tear the legs off of that 4/5 race
    c) You are correct, if you can hang on the back of the fast 4's you're going to do well, regardless of who it is.

^^^and k dub, I believe my "TT" setup would be best suited to be posted in the "Fred Thread" I will eventually take pics, but I think I wait until it's at its finest....

CT, yeah, it's 1:40 from finish of 5 to start of 4/5. Plenty of time to register should you decide to race the 4/5.

My thoughts...There's always 3rd place;-) I'm guessing they'll have a couple strategies in place. First of all, their 3/4 race is :50 minutes later, they have to save something for that. Two, they may try to either send someone off the front to "soften" the peleton or go off the front together. Being team mates, it's not your job to chase them down either way....it's mine and other teams. Also, I highly doubt anyone is going to let two team mates off the front together given a choice and they could blow themselves up trying. Or they could be successful and we race for 3rd;-)..point being, anything can happen! No disrespect at all, and props for the hard work they put in, but I'll be damn'd if I'm going to just except that they're faster..they gotta prove it and in the process I too will be stronger for it as will anyone else that gives them hell!

Keith, so you thinkin an hour or so to move you?

Cheetah boys...I gotta give it to ya, you guys got the mental aspect of this game goin' for ya!I have nicer cars at home!

It all depends on your fit. I have 5 algorithms you might want to check out so you can figure everything out down to the nearest half mm. Someday when I can figure out how to properly sit on my bike and pedal it I will try out this racing business. Excuse me, but I have to go analyze some screen captures.
