Every once and a while, I get in a really sweet bike ride and I don't have anywhere to brag about it. We should have a thread for it.

For example, this morning I rode down to Berning's Fine Jewelry for Bike to Work and School Day, mostly along the Western Canal and Kyrene Canal. A laid-back route, pretty chill. Saw a bunch of Freds at Berning's (plus lXO), ate a fine FREE breakfast (too bad I missed the bacon and eggs because the guy was still setting up!), then rode back up to the Tempe Transit Center. At the Transit Center, the Bicycle Cellar celebrated its grand opening and had a spinny wheel to win a prize, and I won a pair of shiny purple giant platform pedals. RAD! Not the world's most difficult ride, but not bad for a Thursday morning.KEEP TEMPE HOT! (and feed Trifle to the Streetkings)

edit: There was a sex toy store back in Boston called Grand Opening. I always thought that was a clever name for such a shop.

There you go, folks. I made it less personal. I guess I just thought everyone had shopped at one of those places at some time or another. Didn't realize there would be some delicate newbs on this site. I'll be more careful.Help Phoenix Children's Hospital!!

Haha, I just had to give you both a hard time. No worries. And I agree, it's a hilarious name for such a shop. Why is it that sex and bad puns always seem to go hand-in-hand? Oh, wait, don't answer that.

All things considered, hopefully I'll have a real contribution to the thread after the weekend is over...KEEP TEMPE HOT! (and feed Trifle to the Streetkings)

If you don't have a Garmin, there are a few opensource programs that do the same thing. The Garmin looks the cleanest. If you're willing to pay and have a powermeter, Training Peaks is unrivaled for that kind of stuff.

Nice! How long did it take you?

Here's the elevation profile from the brevet we just did - 9872 feet of climbing. Getting out of Tombstone was PAINFUL.

I don't really know. I left sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 and I got back sometime around 4:00. I didn't really pay attention. I also had to stop a few times because my turn-by-turn cheat sheet (which was 56 turns) told me where to go but there were a few roads that were unmarked. I had to break out the GPS, turn it on, and figure out where I was. I had to do this 3 times during the ride. The best part of the ride is that it was 95 miles with zero stoplights."I've never been able to get so low in a sprint that I was able to s my d" - Scott Piersafielde

I'm taking advantage of my opportunities here while I can and while the weather is perfect at night. I'm moving to Brooklyn in 7 weeks and my financial situation isn't considered comfortable so I need all the extra cash I can get.

I'm not doing this long term and I'm not using any of my equipment so I really can't complain. Thanks for the advice though meng, it is a pretty crazed scene.our vision for this world will not die when we are dead

Heres something for "rode now". I was just going through my Garmin and looking up my record and found some crazy info. Since February (when I got my Garmin), I have rode 2,656 miles, climbed 90,000 feet, and burned 90,000 calories... all of this during race season when you don't really ride that hard. Makes me wonder what next training season will be like! I also wonder how many miles I put on my fixed gear since I commute on it. Lets see some more ride reports, pretty sure I'll get beat quite fast.
