Contador is clearly the smart money, but I couldn't bring myself to choose him. I kinda used my team as an excuse to really pick some horses to root for, invest a little more interest into the race.

Looking at the scoring system i think the best bet would be to stack your team with GC racers. if you pick the top 5 racers how can you loose with the bonus points at the end and daily position points. I'm going to remake my team...

You only really have 3 places (GC and Wildcard) to really stack your team with GC contenders since the GC contenders are not options in the climber, sprinter, and dom. categories. I guess you could pick 3 GC contenders and then give yourself a bunch of weak dudes for the other categories..

Or pick dudes from the other categories who may have an outside chance at the GC. This is where you get to be the team manager and make these wonderful decisions for yourself and see how it plays out.But what do I know? I don't even live in AZ.

I'm thinking that it may come down to picking the domestiques and climbers that help a GC guy (preferably the one you chose) win a lot of stages, thereby garnering you points for the domestiques as well as the stage win. Unfortunately I didn't build my team this way. The dudes who played the last few years are at a big advantage.Hella deeznuts

^That's what I was thinking and why I picked Cavendish and Renshaw. . . Also why I picked Contador and De La Fuente . . . Also why I picked Ivan Basso and Daniel Oss

Edit: Although those support guys I just mentioned only cost me 2 - 6 credits each, I decided to fill those low end spots with guys who could support my dudes that cost the big bucks rather than just fill those spots with random cheap guys.

I'm gonna make a team on the rider's inverse relationship to the ones Scott chooses. I am somehow going to choose the opposite of Scott's team, therefore securing the win for my team.

If I remember correctly, its a bad idea to pick support riders unless they get placings or are decent in the GC. I did this last year and got 0 points for them.

Team Rollin Polish p/b Goatse may change, but for now its Contador, Wiggins, John Gadret (look him up, great climber and often goes for stages. did well in the Giro), Egoi Martinez, Tyler Farrar, Cancellara, Boasson Hagen, Nocentini, and Mark Renshaw. Hopefully each one of these guys will take a stage and Contador is sure to take the GC and you guys will all lose to me way OTB. Not who I want to win at all, so I might start a second team.karstenthoughts.blogspot.com - Sorta bike related. New format and commenting enabled.

I really don't think either of my GC guys will beat Contador, but I'm hoping I picked 2nd and 3rd on the podium. Hushovd is good for a couple of stages and a green jersey contender. Cancellara will win a stage. Voigt and Hincapie have shots at a stage win if they're in a successful breakaway. My climbers were the result of how many credits I had left after picking everyone else. Hopefully Nicki Sorensen finishes the tour, because I only have him in there as support for Schleck and the team standings.

I just picked riders who were worth the most points the first time. Than read the rules and made the same mistake Jarred did on the second team. So spandex2 is my team.
